Indoor and outdoor common areas provide an opportunity to get to know other residents on your own time and at your own speed in an intimate, safe, and welcoming atmosphere.
Our Internet café provides a gathering place for residents to relax and connect while playing cards, working a puzzle, or watching a movie. Internet access and phones allow residents to stay connected to friends and loved ones.
The beauty of the desert is boundless. Nature walks and hikes, especially at sunset, can be an exhilarating way to wrap up the day. Walking through the labyrinth brings meditative grounding to our residents. Evening fires in the massive outdoor fireplace are a perfect spot for evening meetings.
Our onsite equestrian center provides opportunities for our residents not only to experience equine therapy but also allows our residents to provide grooming and care as well as simply just spending time in the company of these majestic and therapeutic animals.
Recreational facilities, including our pool (open seasonally) and fitness facility, are available to our residents who would like to exercise or maybe just unwind.
What we feed our bodies, feeds our soul. When we enter the world, one of the first truths we experience is the nourishment and comfort of food. It is also one of the first ways in which we experience being cared for and loved by another. With that in mind, Chef John Adams creates healthy, satisfying comfort food from scratch using only fresh ingredients. He and his team take pride in the important part they play in each resident’s recovery.
In recovery, nutrition is important. Those suffering from the effects of trauma and addiction often suffer from poor nutrition by either not eating enough throughout the day or by eating foods that are low in nutrients. Unhealthy eating can exacerbate the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and healthy sleep, all of which can also put one at risk of continued substance abuse.
By eating well, our residents restore their physical and mental health and improve their chance of recovery.
We understand that many residents may have dietary restrictions and preferences that are important to them. Chef Adams uses a team approach to work with residents, our Dietician, and medical team to accommodate these special requests whenever possible.
We know it’s hard to take the first step on the path to recovery. If you’d like to talk with someone right away, please give us a call or send us your contact information and we will be in touch with you shortly. However, if you or a loved one are currently in crisis or need immediate medical attention, please do not wait for a response to this email, call 9-1-1 immediately.
