Sabino Recovery is monitoring the latest COVID-19 (coronavirus) recommendations that are communicated by local, state and federal agencies including the Arizona Department of Health Services, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO). We will continue to make changes as advised by these authorities.

We have created a task force that meets frequently to discuss updates and instill protocols and procedures in a timely manner in relation to developments. We communicate these updates to all residents, family members, and staff.

As of 12/1/2020 Sabino Recovery has suspended all outside visitors, excluding those participating in the family program. Family program participants must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 screen and results must be obtained within 72 hours of arriving to campus. This will be documented in the Intake tab. Also, all incoming residents must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 screen and results must be obtained within 72 hours of arriving to campus. This will be documented in the Intake tab as well.

It is important to know we DO NOT have any reports of confirmed exposures within our Sabino Community. Also noted: the risk of exposure to COVID-19 in Pima county remains low. Our smaller census (only 24 beds) and isolated, desert locale allows us more control to maintain this safe environment for our residents and staff. Those of us in the Sabino Recovery leadership will continue our ongoing communication with patients, families, and employees as this is a fluid and ever-evolving situation.

Sincerely,

Thomas Isbell
