Items to Bring:

  • Personal identification card
  • Insurance card/insurance prescription card
  • Credit card/debit card
  • $200 cash recommended
  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Medication(s)/supplements for 35 days
    • Medications must be in prescription containers, supplements must be in new sealed containers
    • Medications will be surrendered to Sabino Recovery. Any medications not prescribed or discontinued while at Sabino Recovery will be disposed of.
  • Toiletries (shampoo, body soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
  • Wrist watch
  • If you would like to bring your own music, there is a CD player in your private room
  • Writing journal or notebook
  • Dress code is casual and comfortable. Our weather can include cool mornings, hot daytime temperatures and varied evening temperatures so be sure to pack appropriately
    • Slacks
    • Jeans (no holes)
    • Shorts (must measure minimum of 4” above the knee)
    • Dresses
    • Skirts
    • T-shirts (prefer no logos)
    • Sweatshirt or light jacket, in winter consider bringing layers as it can get quite cold
  • One-piece swimsuit, swim trunks (pool is only open during summer months)
  • Walking shoes (tennis shoes, boots/closed-toed shoes required for some activities)
  • Flip flops/water shoes are acceptable
  • Sunglasses, hat/cap/visor and sunscreen
  • Reading glasses if needed
  • Pre-rolled cigarettes and chewing tobacco are allowed in designated area (be sure to bring a 35 day supply)
  • Electronic cigarettes are allowed on property, however, e-juice must be shipped to Sabino Recovery directly from a vendor. We permit people to bring e-juice with them in sealed containers.
  • Shower cap (if desired)
  • Alcohol-free mouthwash
  • If flowers are sent to a resident, they must be in a plastic vase
    • Otherwise, flowers are transferred to a plastic vase here

Items of Special Consideration:

The following items will be taken from the resident upon arrival and placed in their locked locker. Upon request for specific items, the resident’s therapist will determine if the resident can have the item(s).

  • Electric devices with cords (hairdryers, shavers, irons, radios)
  • Cell phones and electronic devices such as iPods (iPod classic is okay), iPads, e-notebooks, etc. (or any items with WiFi capabilities)
  • Any “smart watch” regardless if it is WiFi capable or not, this includes Apple Watch, Fitbit, etc.
  • Glass items
  • Mirrors in makeup cases
  • Belts/strings – bring bottoms/tops that require no belts or strings
  • Razors

Items Not to Bring:

  • Provocative clothing (including belly shirts, crop tops, spaghetti strap tank tops)
  • Clothing that depicts anything sexual, alcohol or drugs, violent, gambling logos, etc.
  • Expensive jewelry
  • Photography equipment (cameras)
  • Disposable straight razor, razor blades or pocket knives
  • Aerosol cans
  • Food items (chewing gum, candy, artificial sweeteners, etc.)
  • Inappropriate books or magazines
  • Stuffed animals, blankets, personal pillows
  • Smart watches that are internet enabled
  • Bluetooth speakers
  • Scented lotions or body sprays
  • Diffuser (essential oils are okay)
